Anger continued to grow in Whakaruru-a-nuku, he wanted revenge. At night while
everyone slept he snuck into the village of Tūtekohi. He called out to the dog and
when it came close he caught it and killed it. He then took the dog back to Te
Māhia where he cooked it and ate it.
