a. Applicants shall undergo the physical examination and must present the result of the laboratory
works to the University Physician after his/her physical examination
7. The applicant must not be over 40 years old.
8.. Applicants who are shifters, transferees and graduates of other courses considering nursing as a
second course will not be given priority.
9. Problems related to the screening procedures must be done in writing and addressed to the Dean of
The College of Nursing through the Screening Committee.
Admission Policies for Level II
1. Applicants must pass all prerequisite subjects
2. Applicants shall be subjected to the retention policies under the academic regulations.
3. A Battery Examination will be given every end of second semester during their first year as a
requirement for admission in the second year
a. To be qualified for the battery examination, applicants must have a grade of 3.0 or higher
in the following subjects:
i. Theoretical Foundations of Nursing
ii. Biochemistry
iii. General Chemistry
iv. Fundamentals of Nursing (NUR 122)
v. Anatomy and physiology
b. Transferees will be evaluated by the staff of the College of Nursing headed by the Dean
and College Secretary if he/she is qualified to take the battery exam.
c. The battery exam will compose of combinations of multiple choice, identification and
matching type exam as determined and set by the staff of the College of Nursing. The
number of items of the exam will be determined by the College.
d. The battery exam will also include IQ exams and Psychological exams to be administered
by the Office of the Student Services
e. An examinee will be declared as passed if he garners 60% of the total number of items in
the exam, at least an average IQ, and Psychological Test stating he/she is fitted for the
course
f. A Battery Exam fee will be collected as determined by the university
Admission Policies for Level III
1. No transferees will be admitted to the level III.
2. Applicants must have completed and must have successfully passed the following major nursing
subjects offered in the first two years of the curriculum and must have obtained a grade of at least 3.0.

NUR 122 (Fundamentals of Nursing Practice)
Anatomy and Physiology
Bio Chemistry
Microbiology and Parasitology
Health Assessment
NUR 211 Community Health Nursing 1)
NUR 214 (Care of Mother, Child and Family)
NUR 221 (Care of Mother, Child, Family and Population Group at Risk or With Problem)
