Warehouse Personnel:
Process Overview:
1. Cycle Counting
2. Picking Orders
3. Shipping Orders
4. Receiving Orders
5. General Cleanliness and Safety of the Warehouse
o Parts and warehouse manager will oversee all day to day operations in the warehouse.
1. Cycle counting
a. Print cycle count sheet from ICS cycle count menu
b. Start counting that days specific shelf or drawer
c. Straighten that specific shelf or drawer as you count
d. If any variances mark down on sheet as +/- and the number
e. Check ICS and email to try and figure out that variance and if no answer
then get with service manager to find the best solution
f. Enter cycle count in ICS cycle count menu
2. Picking orders
a. Physically pick items based on pick slip which will include all bin locations
b. Rebrand all items in NES-WES bags with proper labeling
c. Package all items in NES-WES style boxes or use large labels to rebrand
larger boxes
3. Shipping orders
a. Determine best way to ship based on parts mangers request
b. Shipping with UPS remember to always add dimensions and insurance for
most accurate rates
c. LTL shipping use these steps
i. Complete and print shipment quote
ii. Complete and print Bill of lading and apply pro labels to BOL and
package
iii. Complete and print pickup notification
d. For 5+ skids, over dimensional and special loads we will always check with
Mode transportation. Mode will handle shipments from start to finish once
all shipping information is given including:
i. Weight and dimensions on all skids
ii. Ship from and ship to addresses
iii. Contact person with phone number for both locations
4. Receiving orders
a. Verify no damage to packing is present and sign for parts in good standing
b. If visible damage is present sign for shipment as “possible damage” as this
will allow us to file a claim if parts inside the packing are damaged
i. Take pictures on packaging before opening
ii. Take additional pictures once opened of interior packing and parts in
box
