Precision Service unit that directs aircraft via radar.
Control Provides air traffic control service within a control area,
e.g. Copenhagen Control.
Radar Provides air traffic control service based on information
from Long Range Radar.
Used, for example, in Germany Bremen Radar.
5.2 Flight advisory units
Flight advisory units provide advisory service in a specified area. The service is
provided by specially trained personnel whose task is to ensure separation to the
extent possible between aircraft flying in accordance with IFR flight plans.
The service issues advice and information.
Flight advisory service in Danish airspace is in certain cases provided by air traffic
control units.
5.3 Flight information units
Flight information units provide information services within a specified area. The
service is carried out by specially trained personnel whose task is to provide
advice and information of importance for the safe and efficient conduct of the
flight.
The service issues advice and information. In addition, the service may pass on
permits and instructions.
The name of the air traffic services unit shall be preceded by a geographical
name followed by one of the following designations:
