9. Forwarding messages
When flying in areas with poor radio coverage or when flying at low altitude, you
may not always be able to reach the unit you are calling.
A radio station may also have problems calling an aircraft. In such cases, an
aircraft at high altitude can be helpful in relaying messages.
Let's look at an example. Copenhagen Information cannot call OY-CTZ but tries
to have a message forwarded through OY-DYT.
It could happen like this:

Yes, then we got that message – a bit embarrassed that we
forgot to switch to the West frequency, but good that Captain
Cook in OY-DYT could act as a relay station ☺
