EXCEPTIONALLY PURE AND PRECIOUS
Tucked away in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, buried
beneath Table Mountain sandstone, flows aQuellé’s
exceptionally pure and precious spring water.
Undisturbed and unpolluted. Nature’s gift.
In 1997, a uniquely wholesome brand of water was
born. After testing a natural water source and finding
it was too good not to share, the water was bottled and
branded “aQuellé”. aQuellé is a hybrid of the Latin word
‘aqua’, meaning water and the German word ‘Quelle’
meaning spring.
aQuellé introduced four South African flavours in 1998
From manufacturing and from being a local beverage player, aQuellé has
grown to become a leading brand in the bottled water
category in South Africa.
Today the aQuellé flavoured sparkling range
includes: Naartjie, Litchi, Marula, Honey Melon,
Lemon, Strawberry, Pineapple, Granadilla, Watermelon,
Apple available in both 500 ml and 1.5 L. Apple,
Raspberry and Orange make up the Flavoured Still
range, enchanced with B vitamins for that extra boost
you need for your day. The Still Natural Spring Water
range is bottled in 500ml, 750ml with flip-top cap, 1.5L
and 5L and the Sparkling Natural Spring Water in 500ml
and 1.5L. A flavour and size to cater for every South
African’s taste today!
To transporting and delivery Bottling Plant
Due to the incredible increase in the demand for
aQuellé, it has been necessary to continuously expand
the bottling plant and transport facilities. The plant has
expanded from a mere 360 square meters in 1998 to
over 18 000 square meters to date.
To prevent contamination of the natural spring water,
boreholes have been sunk from which the water is
pumped to the adjacent bottling plant where it is
filtered with a unique filtration system to ensure the
highest level of purity.
The bottling process itself is fully automated, utilising
state-of-the-art equipment and a handling system
To the event designed to avoid contamination.
