would pack up the tabernacle and follow wherever the pillar
of fire led them.
“In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted
from above the tabernacle, they would set out; but if the
cloud did not lift, they did not set out--until the day it lifted”
(Exodus 40:36-37).
The pillar of Fire and the Cloud stayed side by side in the
time of night and morning in leading the Israelites. It is not
true that the pillar of Fire only led during the night time and
the pillar of Cloud led only in the morning. There were times
when the both pillars accompanied each oth-er.
7) The Two Pillars at the Red Sea
When the Israelites left Egypt and was confronted at
the Red Sea, the Chariots and ar-mies of Egypt were in a
close pursuit of the Israelites. The heart of the Pharaoh was
hardened again. The people of Israel felt an imminent danger
upon them. But God commanded Moses to divide the Red
Sea so that the Israelites could cross the divided sea. The
