number of Israelites amounted to approximately 2 million

to 3 million. Even if the people walked through the sea in a
haste, that many people cannot cross within a mere 1 hour

to 2 hours. Those people crossed the sea through the entire
night.

In this suspenseful moment, an amazing event occurs. The
Bible records that the angel of God led the people of Israel

in the front. The pillar of Cloud was with the angel of God.
Then, the pillar of cloud moved to the rear of the Israelites.

This is the pillar that moved between the Israelites and the
Egyptian army. The Bible describes the scene in this way.

“Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front

of Israel’s army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar
of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them,

coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout
the night the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light

to the other side; so neither went near the other all night
long” (Exodus 14:19-20).

What phenomenon happened when the pillar of cloud

intervened in between the Israelites and the Egyptian army?
Isn’t it recorded that the side of the Egyptian armies was
