Peter be-came bold as to speak out loudly concerning Jesus.

“Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and

addressed the crowd; “Fel-low Jews and all of you who live
in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to

             what I say” (Acts 2:14).
What was the scene like? The land of Israel was at the

beginning of Pentecost. Every year, when Pentecost would
begin, Jews scattered throughout all the nations would come

back to their home land to worship. Just as the people of
Korea are scattered throughout the nations now, the Jews

were also living in many different nations. The scattered
people would worship the local synagogues, but in these

times of national celebration, the people would go back to
their homeland with the purpose of worshiping at the temple.

Peter began preaching in a ‘raised voice’ to these crowds of
people. The sermon of Peter at that place cannot be recorded

in its full measure, but the purpose of the delivery was on
‘Jesus’. The truth of Jesus, who is the son of God and the

savior of the world was told, in that he was killed by the
             hands of the people.

This type of sermon could have resulted in another
crucifixion. Peter could have died like Jesus on the cross,
