Nasal neoplasms
Nasal lymphoma is seen in both cats and dogs and also can present as
diffuse thickening and erythema of the nasal mucosa, although focal
masses can also be observed. Tissue tends to be markedly friable and
will bleed easily with minimal tissue manipulation. While these tissues
respond well to resection and ablation with the laser it is critical to treat
this disease as a systemic disorder. As such, systematic chemotherapy is
indicated. Appropriate protocols are described elsewhere in the veteri-
nary literature.
