Clinical Techniques
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
• Express anal glands and trim toenails and birds’ wings
• Swab ears for parasites and infections, the proper way to clean ears
• Administration of medications: oral, ophthalmic, aural, and parenteral
• Assist with wound care and evaluation
• Apply light bandaging and evaluate for tightness
• Monitor fluid administration and IV catheter sites
• Assist with emergencies and maintain and restock supplies
