The last modification of the Double Change is nearly like the
first and is a style taught by Huang Po-nien in his Lung Hsing
Pa-kua Chang. Kuo Feng-ch'ih illustrates it fully here. The only
difference is that Huang's circle is tighter and the action more
compressed. Start with your left palm extended (Fig. 361). Toe-in
your right foot to your left (Figs. 362-365) and then imitate the
action illustrated in Figs. 366-376. You end up swinging to the
right with your right palm extended.
After doing the exercises in Part II you should have no difficulty
in ascertaining the function of the Double Change. Indeed, it has
many. Study the movement with a friend and you will not only
discover the meaning, you may even create new uses!
