Purpose of the Enterprise
An understanding of the purpose for which an enterprise has been established
may help in clarifying its possible aims. The purpose of the enterprise is related
to the question for whom the enterprise was formed (the beneficiary). For
example:
3-1 Change in the Beneficiary.
A change in the beneficiary; from family to publicly quoted company, from
capitalist to state ownership may indicate a change in objectives. Likewise, a
change from state ownership to publicly quoted company will indicate a change
in objectives.
