Certification Process
Audit Cycle – This is the period from the date of the
end of the onsite initial (Stage 2) audit to the date of the
end of the Recertification Audit. Important points to
remember include:
The cycle is a maximum of three years from the
date of the end of the onsite initial audit.
Surveillance Audits are performed every six, nine
or twelve months during the three year Audit
Cycle.
A Recertification Audit must be performed on or
before three years from the date of the Initial
(Stage 2) Audit.
Corrective actions must be completed and
approved within 90 days of the Recertification
Audit or before the expiration date of the
certificate in order to complete the Recertification
process.
Certificate Cycle – This is the period from the date
that the certification decision is made by the CB to the
date that the Recertification decision is made by the
CB (or from Certification to Recertification). Important
points to remember include:
