Good Business Practices

Being fully involved lets employees use their
abilities for the organization’s benefit. Keeping
them involved helps to motivate them and it
        makes them feel good.

     4. Use a process approach. It is very important to
identify your process approach. Having a clear
plan of the approach will allow everyone involved
to understand and better complete the
requirements of the process. Too many
businesses make the mistake of not truly
knowing or understanding their business process.
To avoid this error, you should be able to answer
the question, “What is a process?”

A Process is a chain of value-added, measurable
activities with inputs and outputs that are
designed to deliver a product or a service to an
internal or external customer and meets the
        following six process characteristics.

        Each process must have:
        1. An owner
        2. Be defined
        3. Be documented
        4. Have an established linkage
        5. Be monitored and measured on goals. Action
is taken if goal is not met.
        6. Have records maintained

The results of the process must be focused on
satisfying the customer. If it isn’t, you have failed.
