Good Business Practices

Remember, with the proper corrective action and
root cause analysis, you can turn any failure into
a positive result with the correct implementation
        and execution…through a new process!

     5. Focus on continuous improvement.
Continuous improvement is the key to a
        business’ success. Companies need to
understand that not only is it necessary for the
organization itself to improve, but that individual
improvement is just as important. Individual
improvement will help to promote the overall
continual improvement of the organization as a
        whole.

Steps towards continuous improvement must be
aligned with what the customer wants or needs. If
they do not, then those steps are just added cost
for the company. This is also true when speaking
of individual goals, corporate goals and a
company’s strategy. All three must be aligned or
it will result in a huge waste of company
        resources. This continuous improvement must
have measurables associated with the plan. We
all need a report card to know how we are really
        doing.

     6. Factual approach to decision making. Just the
facts! In order to make informed decisions, a
company must use, analyze and share the data it
gathers. It is important opinions not be the basis
        of decision making…although in reality
