Process Definition ...Make Them Your Own!
business. Which ones define what activities need to
be done and how they will be accomplished? The
number of processes will depend on the complexity of
your business. Keep the overall flow simple. A good
rule is 10 or less processes. Most important is that
the processes fit your business and that you can
answer yes to the question, “Are the processes well-
defined, planned and controlled (measured) and
effective (goals achieved)?”
Defining and documenting processes can be
challenging work. Not clearly defining, documenting,
communicating and using them can be the difference
between failing and surviving in a growing or declining
economy.
