FSSC is applicable to all food manufacturing. It is
also approved for use in packaging manufacturing
using ISO/TS 22002-4. Other industries such as
Animal farming (ISO/TS 22002-3), transport and
storage (ISO/TS 22002-5) and feed production
(ISO/TS 22002-6) have recently been added to the
list of industries that can be certified to FSSC 22000.
The Foundation for Food Safety Certification is the
facilitator and legal entity for FSSC 22000.
Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards
(BRCGS)
BRCGS was developed in response to retailer and
manufacturer demand, with contributions from retail,
manufacturing, industry associations and certifying
bodies. Retailers and specifiers needed assurance
that the food products they were purchasing,
transforming and selling were safe for their
consumers.
