Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) Reform

• The Responsible Additions and Increases

to Sustain Employee (RAISE) Health

Benefits Act (H.R.1860) would increase

the annual contribution cap for health

FSAs to $5,000

• Allow families with more than two

dependents to save an additional $500 a

year for each additional dependent

• Also eliminate the “use it or lose it” rule,
which only allows consumers to carry over

$550 of unused funds in their health FSA.

• Health FSAs can be a great tool for

consumers to save for out-of-pocket

medical and dental care expenses
