Goals, Objectives, Strategies and Tactics
A Higher Ed Practice Area priority is to continue unifying the practice area while maintaining the
unique qualities of each region. Following are Firmwide Higher Ed Practice Area Goals:
GOAL 1 Retool Strategy, mission and vision with 1 & 5 year goals defined in the first quarter
Build a cohesive practice in which each office - while maintaining unique characteristics -
pursues, wins, designs and delivers work with the same set of goals and objectives
Objective 1 Make HE mission stronger, increase buy-in, marketing and business
development power
Objective 2 Identify what we can capitalize on and improve on when building our strategy;
understand our expertise in order to leverage it
Task SWOT Analysis
Objective 3 Understand how we are viewed by our clients and consultants
Task Practice Area Leader regularly meets with each region on a monthly
or every other month basis Further strengthening of unifying the
practice area will be put in place in 2022 by reinstating firmwide
meetings on a quarterly basis, with more focus on knowledge sharing
as well as identifying opportunities and pursuits
Objective 4 Hold a series of meetings discussing the overall practice area and regions
Objective 5 Hold meetings with MDs, HE leads to identify strengths and weaknesses, ways
in which the work at different offices can be utilized to win new work in other
offices
Understand the past in order to inform the future
Objective 6 ASK our clients and prospective clients what’s important to them
GOAL 2 Approach with focus and great follow through
Objective 1 Firm support for the team by limiting distractions
Adjust labor and staff dedication to allow the HE practice area to develop and
grow
Objective 2 Identify strengths, weaknesses, and passions that will help identify HE
representatives to take on certain initiatives
Objective 3 Develop together a target list that will yield success
Pursue winnable work
Objective 4 Create a supportive environment in which we keep each other accountable
and moving in a forward direction
GOAL 3 Improve Higher Ed Messaging
Objective 1 Increase visibility in our networks and in the market
Objective 2 Internal messaging firmwide makes everyone aware of the message
Objective 3 Focus on Thought Leadership
