DECADE: 1990s
I am a Fiber Artist and designer, living and working in Haslet, Texas. While living in
Sausalito, California in 1982, I began to professionally design and produce one-of-a-
kind and limited production Art to Wear and accessories. My goal is to design and
create wearable garments, very often combining ethnic textiles and embellishments
from various cultures. I have always been influenced by Asian design specifically the
Japanese culture. My work often reflects this, as evidenced in the contemporary Kimono
series, which began in the early 90's. My work has been exhibited in galleries
throughout the United States.
Frida is a one of a kind piece celebrating the colorful life of Frida Kahlo. Pieced with
contemporary textiles and embellished.
