DECADE: 1970s

I'm a mixed media artist, using encaustic, collage, paper making, printmaking, and
photography in my work. All the different ways of using art materials help me to tell a
story.

Currently I have artwork in the San Antonio Art League & Museum Gift Shop and
Member Gallery, Mockingbird Handprint Gallery, and I exhibit at the Olmos Park Terrace
Uptown Art Show (first week of November every year) and the On & Off Fredericksburg
Road Studio Tour. I started taking community art classes about twenty years ago and
participated in art shows in Austin before moving back to San Antonio.

Norwegian
Wood is named
for the Beatles
song. I bought
the tree fabric
in 1972, using
it as a wall
hanging. This
year, I
photographed
&
photoshopped
sections of the
fabric & printed
it on my
handmade
paper which I
glued to the
fabric. Added
hand dyed
fabric for the
top. Isn't it
good?
