DECADE: 1970s

There is a warmth to fiber. I am enthralled by its ability to transform space, almost
magically. The textile art of the 1970s in particular resonates with me. Albers and her
contemporaries, as well as the abstract expressionist and color block movements,
inform my work to a huge degree.

Submersion is
my latest
attempt at truly
telling a full
narrative; a
diptych with a
before and after,
and at its heart
my interpretation
of specific family
events.
