ADHESIVE TECHNOLOGY ON CYLINDER SIDE
 One specific acrylic adhesive on the cylinder side for the whole Scapa range;
 It sticks to every surface:
o Steel Cylinder;
o Sleeve Cylinder;
o Pu, Epoxy Cylinders
 Provides an immediate high tack and a secure bond;
 Combined with a clean removability from the print cylinder.

SCAPA CODES FOR INDENTIFICATION PURPOSES AND COLOUR CODING

5 different hardness levels in the 20 thou (535 - 580 micron) Scapa HP foam range. These are also colour code as below:

43201 SOFT | 43211 MEDIUM SOFT | 43221 MEDIUM WHITE | 43231 MEDIUM HARD | 43241 HARD

The 15 thou (390 - 430 micron) Scapa HP Foam range of tapes has only 3 different hardness levels:

43101 SOFT PINK | 43121 MEDIUM WHITE | 43141 HARD BLUE

HOW TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE CODES OF SCAPA CUSHION MOUNT HP RANGE OF FOAM TAPES:
Firstly 43201 which is a 20 thou soft higher adhesion Cushion mount foam tape:
 43 The first two digits are Scapa’s reference code for mounting tape;
 The third digit indicates the thickness of the range of tapes:
o 2 - Indicates that’s it’s a 20 thou or 550 micron;
o 1 - Indicates that’s it’s a 15 thou or 430 micron
 The fourth digit will indicate the foam hardness:
o 0 SOFT
o 1 MEDIUM SOFT
o 2 MEDIUM WHITE
o 3 MEDIUM HARD
o 4 HARD
 The fifth digit indicates the adhesion level:
o 0 – Indicates standard adhesion. On long runs this can offset the “cold flow theory” …..explained later.
o 1 - Indicates higher adhesion. This is the preferred adhesion level most of our customers are happy with.

 Sample rolls. 455 mm x 7.5 mt;
 Thickness: (390 - 430µm) or 15 Thou;
 Range of Tapes. Soft Pink, Medium White and Hard Blue;
 Mainly used in the label industry or narrow web machines;
 Occasionally used on wide web presses depending on the way the machine was specified or set up.

 Scapa Codes: 43201, 43211, 43221, 43231, 43241;
 Standard roll size;
 Width: 455 mm x 25 mt;
 Sample rolls 455 mm x 7.5 mt;
 Thickness: (535 - 580µm) - 20 Thou;
 Range of Tapes. Soft Pink, Medium Soft Yellow, Medium White, Medium Hard Green and Hard Blue;
 Mainly used in the wide web printer, with some exceptions on narrow web or label printer’s.
