               1.      The children should have begun to understand God’s heart for them as
                       pioneers.

                2.     Having studied the lives of other pioneers they can apply the principles of obedience,
                       boldness and perseverance to their own lives.

               3.      They should be more informed about the lives of a number of past pioneers.
