P. 10

 We all have different gifts and talents but God loves us equally and wants to use us.

 With the help of parents and teachers, the children can identify their strengths and
               weaknesses.

 Displays or scrapbooks of each child’s life will be produced over several lessons.

        Way to Work (Means)

            1. Review previous lessons.

            2. Show the children a big, red book with ‘This is Your Life’ written on it and explain that there
was once a television programme on which a special visitor would be selected. The whole of
that person’s life was shared with the audience and special people in his/her life were invited
into the studio to share about him/her.

Explain that we are going to make a personal ‘This is Your Life’ display or scrapbook with the

help of parents, teachers and other special people in the children’s lives.

            3. The important things which have shaped the children’s lives will be summarised in the
display/scrapbook. Various headings/ideas will help them in collecting information (see
separate sheets). A letter to parents may be helpful too.

As part of an assembly the spiritual gifts could be looked at in Romans 12:4-8
                and / or 1 Corinthians 12:4-11.

The mini-project will not be completed in the next three lessons but could continue on through
                the rest of the term.

            4. Pray for the children then release them to start their work. Give instructions about displays,
use of IT, photographs, neat work, etc.

        Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

            1. The children will learn more about themselves as pioneers and may acquire clues as to their
future work as they recognise their gifting.

            2. The children will have had opportunity to gather information from a variety of sources and to
                present it neatly and appropriately.

            3. They will learn perseverance to complete the work by the end of term.
