P. 8

4. Let the visiting speaker share their experiences of pioneering. It may be a church leader
who has planted a church or a missionary or the founder of the school. Alternatively, it
could be a local non-Christian who has benefited the community by some action or invention.

             5. Let the children write up the agreed definition of a pioneer and list the qualities needed for
pioneering. They may like to try sorting the jumbled words suggesting jobs that pioneers
may have. More able children may suggest even more.

Answers for the worksheet: - explorers, astronauts, church-planters, evangelists, engineers,
                 builders, businessmen, inventors

             6. Over the coming weeks, the children could colour the cover page, adding extra pictures, or
                 design their own.

        Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

             1. The children should understand the definition of a pioneer and the qualities required.

             2. Hopefully, they will appreciate that God has plans for each of us and it will take obedience
to him and his Word to fulfil those plans to extend the Kingdom of God.
