OUR SCHOOL STORY



        1984           School started with 77 pupils aged 5-13 years at Merryfield House, Witney.
                       Mr Freeman was the Principal with Miss Morgan, Mr Elmitt and Miss White               as
                       teachers. Miss Carter helped children who found school work difficult.

        1985           Mrs Rapson started to work there.
                       The School was moved to Bampton to the Scout Huts.

        1986           The Juniors and Seniors moved to the Cotswold Wild Life Park for a day then
                       back to Merryfield House.
                       The Infants went to North Leigh Memorial Hall because there was no room at
                       Merryfield House as the School had grown.

        1987           Miss Dunlop joined the staff.
                       The whole school moved to the temporary buildings on the recently bought
                       field in New Yatt Road, Witney.

        1988           Mr and Mrs Green join the staff.
                       The new building on the New Yatt Road site is finished at Easter.


        1991           Miss Jones joins the staff

        1992           Mrs Rapson joins the staff

        1993           Mrs Dobson joins the staff

        1994           Mr Elmitt and Miss Morgan became head teachers of the Senior and Primary
                       Mr Freeman working nationally and internationally in Christian Education

        1996           Mr Wagstaffe becomes the caretaker

        1997           The Seniors move to Wesley Walk, Witney

        1998           Miss Newman joins the staff.

        1999           Miss Pim starts work in the office

        2001           Mrs Dillon in school office

        2002           Miss Charsley in the school office


        2003           Mrs Pike in the school office
                       Miss Jones leaves to do a Master’s degree
                       Miss Newman leaves to work in Africa
                       Mrs Dobson retires
