which God prepared in advance for us to do.’

Way to Work (Means)
1. Introduce the project with the quote from William Carey, the missionary who is known as
the Father of Modern Missions. Carey wrote to a friend from India where he went to share
the Gospel and translate the Scriptures, “I am in a strange land, alone, no Christian friend, a
large family and nothing to supply their wants”. Yet Carey remained strong in his faith and
declared amidst his troubles, “He is all-sufficient!”
2. Let the children divide into pairs or small groups to look up the meaning of a pioneer in
various dictionaries. Let them also list the qualities they feel that a pioneer should have.
Stress that a pioneer does not have to be a church worker, or even be a Christian.
The simplest definition could be: – A pioneer is the first to begin an activity. It could also be
when someone does something for the first time.
3. Read the above verses to help the children understand that God has plans for us all. Explain
that the Kingdom of God is extended when we are obedient to God.
