            1.    The children should appreciate the value of a reliable witness who actually
                    experienced something first hand as a resource when finding out about the past.


            2.    The children to know how to ask an open question and to listen carefully to the
                  answer.

            3.    The children should have a positive view of the elderly as people who have much of
                  value to share.
