Jeremiah 29:11 ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to

prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a
                      hope.”’

¾ God has planned the future. His people are to be involved in praying, “Let your will

be done”, and in working towards this.

        Way to Work (Means)

            1. In our project ‘Changing World, Unchanging God’ we have been looking at how
things have changed over the last 50 to 100 years, and realising that some things

have changed, while other things have not.

Tell me some of the ways we can find out about the past?

x Asking people who lived then
                        x Looking at photographs
                        x Looking at old things/artefacts
x Reading what others have written in books, or diaries.

            2. In the last two weeks we have been looking at the story of The King’s School. We
have seen that the School was God’s idea.

                        x 1984 TKS started

                        x 1988 New Building
                        x 1997 on two sites

We have seen that the story is not finished yet. God has plans for TKS in the

future, good plans. He hasn’t just kept them to himself; instead he has begun to
speak to us about them. Do you know what is in God’s heart for us? As yet we do
not know all the details, like where exactly it will be, and who will teach there, but
we can trust God to provide for us as he has done so faithfully in the past.

            3. Show the book ‘The King’s School –The First Ten Years’. This book was written so
that we would not forget how faithful God has been to us. Remembering God’s
goodness in the past helps us to trust him as we face problems in the future.
