It is hoped that the children will begin to appreciate and respect the differences between
countries, even within the UK, realising that God longs for unity and interdependence
between nations.

Truth to Teach

Just as we are different as individuals, so nations are different. We can appreciate our
differences as children show their work on the UK.

Way to Work

1. Briefly discuss the challenges the children found as they worked to produce
their presentations, as well as the parts they enjoyed.

2. Let each child or group show their work, explaining it to serve their audience.

3. The children may like to write their own summaries of the displays or use a
worksheet to summarise the work.

Learning for Life

As the children will see the differences even in a small nation like the UK, they will hopefully
appreciate even more the challenge of all nations across the world remaining in harmony. If
all people acknowledged God, vision and standards would be similar but, sadly this is not so
at present. However, Habakkuk’s vision is that the earth will be filled with the glory of God.
