PRAYING FOR THE NATIONS

THE LORD’S PRAYER

1. Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be your name

Prayer: Acknowledge God as Creator of the earth.
Acknowledge God as sovereign over the nations of Europe.
Extol the greatness and power of God.
Declare that nothing is impossible for him.

2. Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Prayer: Pray for God’s Kingdom rule to be recognised by each nation.
Pray for rulers, leaders, presidents, monarchs, parliaments, etc

Pray for more people to feel a call to the nations to preach the gospel.

3. Give us this day our daily bread.

Prayer: Pray for the provision of food, especially for the poorer nations.
Pray for God’s Word to be shared as spiritual food.
Pray that God would strengthen and provide for Christians in other
nations.

4. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.

Prayer: Pray for peace, forgiveness and an end to war.
Praise God for the fall of Communism.
