Overview of Y2 Summer Term

Week 10: Writing thank you letters to those who have helped in school over the
year

Communication and Interdependence: It is good to give thanks to the Lord and to
others; it builds relationship and reminds us how we need other people.

Allocate/ let the children choose someone to write to on behalf of the class.

Encourage the children to be specific about how that person has contributed to the
good of the school family. The letter could end with a blessing on the helper and
his/ her family over the summer holidays. Ask the children to decorate the writing

paper attractively, encouraging neat colouring as this shows respect.

Weeks 11: My Future Class

Growth, Maturity

The children will be moving to the Junior department and may have desires, dreams,
questions and fears about the future. Encourage the children to write these down so
that they can be talked through before the holidays.
