                  Common sense facility risk management

                  What is facility risk management?
                  Risk management is ‘the process of managing a facility’s potential exposure to
                  liabilities, preventing their occurrence or putting processes in place to meet the
                  costs of liability’.

                  In essence, risk management is about:
                  •  identifying potential risks
                  •  assessing risks
                  • developing and implementing strategies designed to reduce risks
                  • reviewing the effectiveness of the risk reduction strategies.

                  Risk management is nothing to worry about. For your facility, it is about having
                  basic systems in place to get rid of, or reduce, risks in the sports environment and
                  using simple common sense.
