Coffs Harbour infrastructure — can we host the
                        National Touch League?


                        Some relevant statistics pertaining to Coffs Harbour and its hope to
                        host the 2004 National Touch League include:
                        •   550 kilometres from Sydney and 430 kilometres from Brisbane
                            (central location)
                        •   Population of 90 000 (large enough to support, accommodate and
                            service the event and its participants)
                        •   44 kilometres of pristine beaches (recreation offerings for
                            participants prior to or after the event)
                        •   Over 4000 registered touch football players
                        •   Over 150 sporting clubs/associations
                        •   A vast array of all styles and types of accommodation (see
                            Appendix 1)
                        •   A vast array of eateries (see Appendix 2)
                        •   Average minimum temperatures of 12 degrees and maximum of 26
                            degrees in March (perfect playing and holiday weather conditions)
                        •   Various ways to access — plane, car, bus and rail
                            (www.ozplaces.com).
