Marketing and promotion
The centre will develop a detailed yearly marketing and promotional plan, outlining
key marketing objectives in all operational areas, specific marketing strategies to
be used to achieve the objectives and detailed systems of control to measure the
effectiveness of the plan. All staff are to be involved in marketing the centre and its
services.
Evaluation
All program objectives will be measurable. Several evaluation tools have already
been outlined in relation to specific objectives. In general, the following will be used
to review the centre’s annual operation plan:
• staff performance appraisals, using key performance criteria outlined in job
descriptions to make assessments
• monthly financial reporting (manager), presented to TAFE management
• monthly staff reports outlining achievements, problems, concerns and ideas
• membership status via the use of specific membership analysis software
• client surveys and feedback
• weekly staff meetings
• others.
Safety procedures
A detailed risk management plan is to be developed for all operational areas. This
plan will outline the following:
• risk identification
• risk assessment
• risk reduction
• implementation
• review and modifications.

All staff must be qualified in senior first aid, exercise testing and prescription,
resistance training, aerobics and personal training.
