                                            MAGAZINE FINANCES
                                            MAGAZINE FINANCES
Postage has just gone up yet again to £1.03 per magazine,
via a Franking Machine. We use one as Yvonne and I could
not sit there forever sticking on a large quantity of stamps.
However, the rental cost of the Franking machine and labels
takes the cost up at least £1.38 per issue or £5.52 per year.
Take this out of the Subscription rate of £6.95 and I am left
with £1.43 per year or 36 pence towards printing each mag-
azine, which in reality actually costs over £2 each.
A lot of the shortfall is made up by advertising but not
all of it, especially as there are other costs as well. So, I am
always very grateful for those who add a little something
extra on their annual subscription. For those who add an extra 5p making it up to £7,
please don’t, as £6.95 is it or add a bit more.
