Jeffrey A. Riggs is a partner in the Lafayette office of
Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP. He received
his BS degree in 1983 from Indiana University and
his JD degree in 1986 from Indiana University School
of Law (Indiana Law Review; Dean Frandsen Award;
Moot Court Award). He was admitted to practice in
Louisiana in 1986 and in Texas in 2005.
Riggs served in the Louisiana State Bar Association’s
House of Delegates (15th Judicial District) for several
years and was a member of the House of Delegates
Liaison Committee in 2007-08, 2010-13 and 2017-
20. He is a member of the Client Assistance Fund
Committee and the Unauthorized Practice of Law
Committee.
He is a member of the Lafayette Bar Association,
the Duhe American Inn of Court, the Federal Bar
Association and the Acadiana Society for Human
Resource Management. L. Bradley Hancock She and her husband, Todd Wallace, have been
Riggs and his wife, Colin Neblett Riggs, have been
married for 34 years. He is the father of four children.

L. Bradley Hancock

L. Bradley Hancock is the executive partner in the Monica Hof Wallace also runs the Student Externship Program. He joined
Houston, TX, office of Holland & Knight, LLP. He
also practices in the firm’s Austin, TX, office and is a
member of the firm’s litigation practice. He received
his BA degree in history from Texas A&M University
and his JD degree from Texas Tech University School
of Law. He was admitted to practice in Louisiana in
2001. He also is admitted in Texas and the District of
Columbia.
Hancock is a life fellow of the Houston Young
Lawyers Association and a member of the Board of
Trustees for the Texas Tech Law School Foundation. Donald W. North College, also in Fort Leavenworth.
He is a board member of the State Bar of Texas
Corporate Counsel Section.

Monica Hof Wallace
Faculty, Loyola University College of Law
Monica Hof Wallace is the Dean Marcel Garsaud, Jr.
Distinguished Professor of Law at Loyola University
New Orleans College of Law. She joined the law
faculty in 2002 after practicing at the New Orleans
firm of Correro Fishman Haygood Phelps Walmsley &
Casteix (now Fishman Haygood, LLP). She graduated
first in her class at Loyola College of Law and, while
attending law school, served on the Law Review and
she worked as a law clerk for Judge Jacques L. Wiener,
Jr. of the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and for
Judge Barry Ted Moskowitz of the U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of California.
Professor Wallace is a frequent speaker and author in
the areas of family law, successions, donations, trusts
and community property, all of which she teaches
at the College of Law. She lectures on family law

fundraised for the Loyola Advocacy Center, serving as
director at its inception. She is an active member of the
Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana State
Law Institute and the St. Thomas More Inn of Court.
She is an active Fellow for Educating Tomorrow’s
Lawyers and the Louisiana Bar Foundation. She serves
on the board for the Louisiana Youth Seminar. She has
received several awards for her teaching, scholarship
and public service.

Donald W. North
Faculty, Southern University Law Center
Professor Donald W. North is the Vice Chancellor of
Student Affairs at Southern University Law Center. He
the faculty in 1998. He received a BS degree in political
science in 1980 from Grambling State University and
his JD degree in 1983 from Southern University Law
Center. He was admitted to practice in Louisiana in
1984. He also is admitted to the U.S. District Court
for the Middle District of Louisiana and the U.S. 5th
Circuit Court of Appeals.
He is a 1988 graduate of the Combined Army and
Services Staff College in Fort Leavenworth, Kan.,
and a 1997 graduate of the Command General Staff
He served on the Louisiana State Bar Association’s
(LSBA) Board of Governors for several terms and has
served on the LSBA’s Committee on the Profession
and the Client Assistance Fund Committee. He is a
member of the American Bar Association.
In his community, North is a church deacon,
volunteers with the Zachary Food Bank and is a pro
bono worker at Baton Rouge City Court.
He and his wife Jyotibala have been married for 36
years and are the parents of two children.
