he was given a thorough tour of the 412th
Maintenance Group and its squadrons, to
include presenting Airmen with 2014 AFMC
Maintenance Awards. Kirkland currently
directs policy and procedures affecting
AFMC aircraft maintenance, munitions,
supply, logistics plans, transportation and
logistics data systems. In addition, Kirkland
is responsible for developing and directing
policy for the depot overhaul, repair, and
PRGL¿FDWLRQRI$LU)RUFHZHDSRQV\VWHPV
As the staff lead for logistics and life
cycle sustainment issues, he plans and
coordinates product support and acquisition
logistics for Air Force weapon systems.
