Link Agency Newsletter - Autumn 2020
P. 1
Transform Their World
Welcome
Welcome to Issue 2 of Link, our newsletter for our valued International Agents and Education Consultants.
The Autumn Term has sped by and the Campus grounds are ablaze with autumnal colour, the Malvern Hills are splendid
once again in shades of green, due to
some welcome rain after the dry and sometimes hot spells of summer. Our pupils have returned from their half-term break, although for some of our international pupils this meant staying on campus
and recharging.
I would like to reassure you the College’s Covid 19 prevention measures have
been meticulous. Sanitising stations are placed outside buildings and throughout the campus. House bubbles have been established and maintained and we have purchased a device, the SAMBA II, which tests for Covid-19 and Influenza, delivering results in just 90 mins. This investment ensures that the whole of the Malvern Family
has that added level of protection and assurance. If you turn to page 5 you will see an article about SAMBA II.
The UK Government’s points-based immigration system, the Tier 4 replacement was launched on 5th October 2020. It is called The Student Route and a summary of the key requirements can be found on page 3. To make this process easier we have appointed Newland Chase Education, specialists in immigration services to help confirmed pupils obtain the documentation they need, quickly and efficiently.
Finally, I do hope that you will be able to join the Virtual Agent Information Briefing on Monday 9th November at 11am (GMT). This session will be especially valuable
for those of you unfamiliar with Malvern College, and will be very useful to those Agents who already know us well, as the briefing will give us the opportunity to update you on a number of key topics.
You will hear from our Headmaster,
Mr Keith Metcalfe and Deputy Head Curriculum, Mr Stephen Holroyd on the College’s academic focus. The briefing
will also feature two International pupils describing their individual experience of Malvern College and what it is like to live and learn in one of the safest and incredibly picturesque locations in England.
Head of Admissions, Annalouise McQuilkin will update you on some key developments and Steve Paxton, Commercial Director, Newland Chase Education, will discuss the latest Visa requirements.
To take part you will need to register here.
I hope you all stay safe and I truly look forward to welcoming you to Malvern College, where you will be assured of a very warm welcome.
With my best wishes,
Sally Cooper-New
Director of Marketing and Admissions
