PURPOSE OF THE ARTICLE
his article primarily aims to contribute literature with valuable insights and

perspectives for professionals in both human resource development (HRD) and
higher education, as stated by Patterson (2024). It seeks to enhance the existing body of
knowledge on mentoring by providing new perspectives that can bene�it individuals
working in these �ields.
Additionally, Patterson (2024) outlines the intention to analyse and compare
different mentoring program design frameworks, aiming to deepen understanding
through the examination of four current frameworks, two from HRD and two from higher
education contexts. Through this analysis, readers can gain comprehensive insights into
