The Washington County
Sheriff’s Office and the Washington
County Board of Commissioners
recognized the men and women
who work in corrections during
National Correctional Officers and
Employees Week. During the week,
staff were treated to several days of
food and dessert, including cook­
ies, ice cream, and sandwiches from
a local restaurant. A local police
agency recognized their partners by
delivering treats to corrections staff.

Like others in the field of correc­
tions, those at the McLean County
Detention Facility have endured
and overcome many challenging
obstacles over the past year.
The McLean County Sheriff’s
Department is thankful for all of
the staff at the detention facility
and showed its gratitude during
National Correctional Officers and
Employees Week with a few small
tokens of appreciation for the brave
men and women of the department.
