In observation of National
Correctional Officers and
Employees Week, the Cook
County Sheriff’s Office ran
a weeklong video campaign
showcasing various employees
giving testimony to the hard work,
service, and dedication that they
give to their profession each and
every day. The pandemic, in many
ways, has not made life as an officer
easy but having the support, under­
standing, and recognition of our
peers reminds us of how strong and
steadfast we are collectively.
Cook County recognizes the sac­
rifice, commitment, and hard work
that goes into being an officer and
used this week to acknowledge and
recognize that.
