UP AND AWARE - 8

                 Discuss:
If there are people who build walls, there are just as many who want to
                      break them down. Why?

Can a wall really separate people? Have you ever jumped over a wall to
see what was on the other side? What did you find?
If every village, town, city and state in India had walls around my

boundary, what would life be like?

There is a country in the world

                                                                           which believes that people want
to be happy. This tiny country,
Bhutan, tucked in the Himalayas, is
considered to be one of the happiest
countries in the world. It is so

                                                                           because the Bhutanese government
                                                                           provides its people good education,
                                                                           healthcare, protects its environment

                                                                           and promotes its culture. Happiness
                                                                           is a place!

                        Exercise and Discuss:

Form groups of four to six learners. Research (library/Internet sources) the five
happiest and five unhappiest places in the world. Make a list of things that make
                   these places what they are.
