Now I Know and this is what I Think…

Sweden figures in the top 10 countries in the world, along with Iceland, Finland and Norway,
which have achieved gender equality. This means that the country and its society have

worked towards providing gender equality at schools, in workplaces, in the government
and in law, to protect women against violence and abuse.

So much so, the Swedes have come up with a gender-neutral personal pronoun in Swedish

— ‘hen’ to replace ‘hon’ (she) and ‘han’ (he). Among other things, people now do not
need to use ‘he’ or ‘she’ when referring to men and women! The word has made it to the
country’s National Encyclopaedia.
