UP AND AWARE - 7
The facilitator will toss the chits to mix them up.
Now, each learner will randomly pick one chit. When everyone has done so, all learners will
open their chits and read them.
Each learner will then read out aloud from his/her chit and everyone will try to guess whom
it belongs to.
Discuss:
1. Were there any skills and talents that you thought did not belong to the
person who wrote them?
2. Are you surprised at the number of similarities that exist amongst the
people in this class? Why or why not?
3. How is recognising these similarities important to how we work
together?
4. Could any of these similarities cause problems? Explain.
5. What are the differences that exist among the learners in this class?
6. How is recognising these differences important for working together?
7. Could any of these differences cause any problems? Explain.
8. Why is it important to recognise both the similarities and differences
that exist amongst people?
9. How can these similarities or differences be useful in a classroom
scenario?
10. Can you convert any one similarity or difference into a strength?
