designed as an introduction section. It aims to introduce the target cultures
through presenting cultural pictures of a wedding ceremony to facilitate students

to write descriptive texts. As an example of tasks in Let’s Get Ready, students are
asked to look at pictures of some weddings and to pay attention to the costumes,

hats (of grooms and brides), and/or headdresses. An illustration of this task can be

                        seen below.

The picture above is presented in for Unit 1, lesson 1, and task 1 with the
wedding ceremony topic. In the class, students discuss the materials to observe

pictures of the target cultures and their own cultures. They also are invited to

recognize the costumes, dresses, and headdresses. On top of that, students are
expected to have a prior knowledge of target wedding cultures and even their own

wedding cultures and of the target cultures.
The ‗Let’s Act‘ part is attended to facilitate the steps of comparing,

reflecting, constructing, and presenting. This part generally contains the largest
number of tasks throughout the lesson. It is in this step that students produce their

writing. For lesson 1, task 2, for example, is for students to look at pictures of the

wedding ceremony, write some sentences about the pictures, and label the pictures
with features of the wedding ceremony. As it has been explained before, this task,

housed in Let’s Act, is almost important part of the lesson. In this task, students
practice their writing. Below is an example of a Let’s Act task.
