How to Perform a Jump Serve in Volleyball

           1. Preparation

Positioning: Stand a few steps behind the end line. Your feet should be
           shoulder-width apart.

Grip the Ball: Hold the volleyball in your non-dominant hand, keeping
           it steady.

           2. Stance

Body Orientation: Face the net with your body slightly sideways. Your
dominant shoulder should point toward the target area.

Weight Distribution: Shift your weight to your back foot.

            3. Ball Toss

Toss the Ball: Use your non-dominant hand to toss the ball high into the
air. The toss should be straight up and ideally around head height.

Toss Height: Aim for a high toss to give yourself time to jump and strike
           the ball.

            4. Jumping

Takeoff: As the ball reaches its peak, step forward with your non-
dominant foot and jump explosively off your dominant foot.

Arm Movement: Swing your dominant arm back as you jump to generate
           momentum.

            5. Striking the Ball

Contact Point: Reach for the ball at the highest point of your jump. Hit
the ball with the heel of your hand or the base of your fingers.

Follow Through: Aim to hit through the ball, directing it towards your
           target area.

            6. Landing

Controlled Landing: Land softly on your feet, using your knees to absorb
the impact. Maintain your balance and be ready for the next play.

           7. Practice Tips

Repetition: Practice your toss, jump, and swing separately before
           combining them.

             - Targeting: Focus on specific areas of the court to improve your
           serve’s accuracy.

             - Feedback: Work with a coach or teammate to refine your technique.
