volleyball serve, specifically focusing on the "overhand serve,"

which is a common technique. How to Perform an Overhand Serve in
Volleyball 1. Preparation - Positioning: Stand behind the end line. Your
feet should be shoulder-width apart. - Grip the Ball: Hold the volleyball
in your non-dominant hand with your fingertips spread. Your dominant
hand should be in a fist or open, ready to strike. 2. Stance - Body
Orientation: Turn your body sideways to the net, with your non-dominant
shoulder facing the target - Weight Distribution: Shift your weight onto
your back foot 3. Ball Toss - Toss the Ball: With your non-dominant
hand, toss the ball into the air. The toss should be high enough to give you
time to swing your dominant arm. - Toss Height: Ideally, the ball should
be around head height when it reaches its peak. 4. Swinging Motion - Arm
Movement: As the ball reaches its peak, step forward with your non-
dominant foot and swing your dominant arm back. - Contact Point: Strike
the ball with the heel of your hand or the base of your fingers. Aim to hit
the ball at the highest point of your reach 5. Follow Through - Finish the
Swing: After contact, allow your arm to follow through naturally, finishing
across your body. - Balance: Maintain your balance and be ready for the
next play. 6. Practice Tips - Repetition: Practice your toss and swing separately
before combining them. - Targeting: Aim for specific areas of the court to
improve your accuracy. - Feedback: If possible, ask a coach or teammate for
                 feedback on your technique.
